Wow, that’s awesome, Cheryl! I loved your video! That’s super impressive that you put together a different escape room every week for a whole semester. Wow! I loved your themes, very clever and fun. Especially the Queen of Hearts and Escape the Arcade games. The visuals for The Inheritance looked really cool, too. It looks like you had a lot of really clever puzzle ideas. Like the puzzle from Queen of Hearts with the folded colored shape cards stacked in a pyramid – that looked very clever! Thanks so much for sharing! And good luck with The Revenge! I would love to see videos of pictures from next semester, too!

I’m a home school mom and my teenagers talked me into doing an Escape Room class at our co-op. That meant a brand new escape room every Friday for ten weeks for high schoolers who would be expecting as close to commercial escape room quality as possible. Thanks to your book my class was a huge success. There was even one week (my Creepy Dollhouse Theme week) that one of my students thanked me and said it was awesome and my teacher helper told me that my escape rooms for class are just as good as the ones you go to and pay for. Now my students have requested another semester of the class Escape Room Part 2 – The Revenge. So ten more new ones here we go. If possible I would love for you to see the video I made of the class ( I will post the link)

I would recommend Color Crisis for kids. It’s great for the 8 to 12 age range. Sorry Science Lab was a little difficult! It’s best for teens and adults over 12.

Hi Andrey! I guess it depends on how involved your clues, room, and decorations are. You can choose to do a simple room with minimal decorations to make it easy. If you do an escape room on a beach theme and bring in sand, well, yes, then you might be cleaning it up for months 🙂 But with planning and control, I don’t think a typical at-home escape room will be a problem.

I would love to make one for the kids but am worried I’ll end up with mess all over the house for months.

My friends and I decided to join the Halloween escape room challenge because of the cash prize that we can donate to our chosen orphanage this Christmas. I believe that choosing the right teammates is also one of the factors that can contribute to our win, but we have to keep in mind that strategies will always save us at the end of the day.

Thank you for all the detail! I’ve always leaned towards rooms without a theme, but you gave me tons of great ideas. Thank you!

I simply adore escape rooms. They give an adrenalin rush without any risk of bodily harm! The best part is that it gives an opportunity to bond with others without resorting to a smartphone! And, solving puzzles together with friends, colleagues or family can actually improve communications and build stronger relationships
