Four on the couch
A good indoor party game for older kids or teenagers. It could kind of be a get-to-know-you game, too. It involves lots of memory and strategy.
First letter, last letter
A simple talking, thinking game. You don’t have to play with winners or losers; it’s mostly good for occupying time while waiting or driving.
Don’t Eat Pete
Don’t Eat Pete is a great party game for younger kids. Why wouldn’t it be? It involves colored happy faces, candy, and surprises. “DON’T EAT PETE!”
Castles and beavers
Castles and beavers (or castillos y castores, in Spanish) is a children’s game that comes from Mexico. Definitely one of my all-time favorites. It doesn’t really have a winner or a loser, but it’s hilariously fun.
Tell a story
This is a fun talking game for a smaller group, good for encouraging creativity (and usually silliness).
